Dreams

Designing and illustrating a movie poster. Doing the art for a band t-shirt or album cover. Illustrating a children’s book.

There are so many things I would love the opportunity to work on and so I thought that I would put a few of them out into the universe. My skills and experience as a designer and artist are easily translatable to so many different things.

Illustration and Design Projects for Music, Film and Television

Movie posters or title design, getting hired to make the art for a show, there are so many things I’d love to do. I grew up with my family running a local video store in the late 80s, so it’s something that would be a long time in the making if any of that ever happened and feel really special to me, too.

I’d also love the opportunity to collaborate with bands and artists on album artwork and merch, I have a lot of experience with the creative direction of large scale science events, so to work on the creative aspects of any tour would be incredible and a challenge to branch out that I’d love to take on.

Nature Illustration, Climate Science Communication and Design

I already work with a number of scientists focused on the life sciences by virtue of working a hospital for the last fifteen years, which is a really wide ranging group of people, everything from chemists to engineers to surgeons to psychologists to rheumatologists to epidemiologists to data scientists, but I’d love the opportunity to work with other types of scientists especially on nature illustration and climate science communication. With experience in producing virtual events, designing materials, creating illustrations, infographics, videos and a number of other creative visual communication efforts, there are any number of ways that I could work on sci comm in these spaces.

Comics Collaborations

I would love to collaborate on comics – all of my work is made by me from start to finish, which is great for self-publishing your own work, but can be lonely and also not always as creatively fulfilling as working with collaborators on a project. With my background and experience, I could collaborate on comics in almost any way – writing, art, inking, coloring, lettering, with years of experience in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign from my science communication work.
