A collection of comics and sketches from the tiny sketchbook I carry with me everywhere I go. Most of these are silly doodles or drawings done while wandering around Boston Common or sitting at a bar with friends, but they capture a little slice of my life and also feature some very silly dogs of Somerville.

Overview

One of my goals for 2023 was to create more low key comics and zines. It didn’t need to be perfect, I just wanted to have something in my hands at the end of the process. I had the idea of making a zine out of all of my sketches and doodles and comics from the sketchbook I carry around with me every day. This was the perfect way to get my feet wet, because it allowed me to use art I was already making in a new way and I also went back to my sketchbooks from 2022 and found more comics and art to include. I am always making art, even if it’s just a small sketch while riding the bus around town.

A few of the details...

A goat
The cover art for the diary comics zine was simple, just a silly little goat, so the digital version is a white cover, but the printed versions are on all different types of paper, including some metallic finishes as I also used the printing of this zine as a way to experiment with process, too.
